前苏联莫斯科动力学院博士、教育部“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授、国家杰出青年基金获得者、国务院特殊津贴获得者、中国自动化学会控制理论专业委员会委员、中国人工智能学会智能空天系统专业委员会委员、IFAC网络化系统工作组委员、《Control Theory and Technology》与《控制与决策》等期刊编委、人工智能研究院学术委员会主任。长期从事群智系统学习、优化与控制，传感器网络分布式检测、估计与推理，多运动体系统协作导航与协同控制等领域的理论研究与应用。主持了国家863计划、国家自然科学基金等项目。获关肇直奖和WCICA最佳理论论文奖。发表SCI/EI收录论文100多篇，包括：《Automatica》、《IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control》、《IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking》、《IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics》、《IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing》、《IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems》等Top期刊论文，连续被Elsevier列为中国高被引学者。
Professor Yu-Ping Tian obtained his doctoral degree from Moscow Power Institute, former Soviet Union. He is a distinguished professor of Yangtse River Scholar Program, the Ministry of Education of China, recipient of the Outstanding Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and recipient of special allowance of the State Council. He is a member of technical committee of control theory in Chinese Association of Automation, the technical committee of Intelligent Space System in Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence, and the technical committee of networked system in International Federation of Automatic Control. He is served as an Associate Editor of several journals such as Control Theory and Technology and Control and Decision. He is currently the director of academic committee of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Hangzhou Dianzi University. His research areas include multi-agent learning and control, distributed detection and estimation in wireless sensor networks, coordinated navigation and control of multi-robot systems. He has undertaken more than 10 projects supported by the National 863 program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has won the Guan Zhaozhi prize and the best paper prize of WCICA. He has authored 1 monograph in English, coauthored 2 books in Chinese, and published more than 100 peer reviewed papers in SCI/EI journals, such as Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transacts on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on signal Processing, and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems. From 2014 to 2018, he has been continuously listed in Most Cited Chinese Scholars by Elsevier.
